This scholarship is a memorial of the achievements of Tetsuya “Jimmy” Moritani (founder of Trajal group) who devoted his life to the development of the Japanese overseas travel industry, and for the “Association internationale des Skål club Tokyo” (“Skal”) members serving as leaders in the international tourism industry who support students studying abroad to become future leaders in the tourism industry.
Skål is a professional organization of tourism leaders around the world, promoting global tourism and friendship. It is the only international group uniting all branches of the travel and tourism industry. Its members, the industry's managers and executives, meet at local, national, regional and international levels to discuss and pursue topics of common interest. http://skalnet20.skal.org/
Namiko is scheduled to leave Japan for Melbourne, Australia on April 2. She will study there in Melbourne for 10 months through our “Study Abroad Program”.
She is required to submit an English essay,“Things what I want to achieve during my study abroad” before her departure. Also she has to make a report twice during her stay, and she is asked to make an English speech at a SKÅL Tokyo meeting when she comes back.
