Table Manners

Hello, I’m Kazuyuki Ishikawa an instructor of the Hotel course.

Our Hotel course and Bridal course students went to “CHINZAN-SO” to learn “KAISEKI” table manners.
“CHINZAN-SO” is the name of a Banquet Hall and Garden restaurant with a big Japanese garden.
“KAISEKI” is a kind of formal Japanese traditional cuisine.

We Japanese know how to use chop sticks but we don’t know the well-mannered way to pick up and lay down chopsticks.
Also, we don’t have many chances to sample “KAISEKI” dishes.

At first, the students were at a loss how to eat.
They could understand after my advice. .
They really enjoyed having “KAISEKI” dishes.

After that, we moved to the “FOUR SEASONS HOTEL TOKYO at CHINZAN-SO” to observe the hotel and the facilities.
We could see the Imperial suite and other suite rooms.

We had a good time at “CHINZAN-SO”.
